The Stone

Lapis lazuli is a rock made up of several minerals. Lazurite gives it its deep blue colour, while pyrite adds small gold-coloured flecks and calcite forms white patches or veins. These minerals occur in different proportions, giving each stone its own pattern and variation in colour.

The History

People were making lapis lazuli beads more than 6,000 years ago. Examples have been found in ancient Mesopotamian burial sites, showing its early use in personal ornaments. Centuries later, Renaissance painters used it to produce ultramarine, a costly blue pigment. The same stone was valued both for what people could carve from it and for the colour it brought to art.

The Belief

In ancient Egypt, lapis lazuli was carved into amulets depicting Thoth, the god of wisdom and writing. These small objects gave a precious stone a sacred purpose, connecting personal adornment with reverence for knowledge.

Inspired by that tradition, we see lapis as a quiet reminder to seek understanding, speak with honesty, and trust your own judgment—wisdom, truth, and confidence, carried into everyday life.

Good for regular wear

Been wearing this on and off for about a month now. The 5mm size is probably my favorite part — noticeable, but not heavy or oversized. Looks good next to my watch too.

Packaging surprised me

L&X bracelets are assembled and hand-finished by our workshop team in Yangshuo, China. Designers develop each piece, while trained makers handle assembly, finishing and individual inspection before dispatch.

Natural stones can vary slightly in color, pattern and texture, so every bracelet has its own character. The materials, bead size and overall design will remain consistent with the product description.

Measure your wrist snugly where you normally wear your bracelet. Our size options refer to your wrist measurement, not the bracelet’s finished length. Choose your measured size for a closer fit or 1–2cm larger for a looser fit.

Complimentary size adjustment is available for eligible bracelets. The adjustment itself is free, while the customer covers the shipping costs to and from L&X. Please contact us before sending your bracelet back.

Each bracelet requires 1–3 business days for preparation and is normally dispatched within 3–5 business days of the order date, including preparation time. Delivery after dispatch usually takes an estimated 3–7 business days, depending on the destination, carrier and customs clearance.

We provide complimentary tracked shipping to the destinations we serve, with no minimum purchase required. Any customs duties, import taxes or brokerage fees that may apply are the recipient’s responsibility.

Payments are processed through Shopify’s secure checkout using the payment methods displayed at checkout. L&X does not directly collect or store your complete payment-card details.

You may request an eligible return or exchange within 30 days of receiving your order, including if you change your mind or select the wrong size. Items must meet our return conditions, and customers cover return and replacement shipping for change-of-mind or sizing requests. Please contact us before returning anything to China.
