About L&X Chinese Jewelry

Our Story: A Chinese Jewelry Workshop in Yangshuo

For the past 13 years, our workshop in Yangshuo, Guilin, has been dedicated to crafting traditional Chinese jewelry. We believe that true jewelry is more than a beautiful object—it is a treasure that carries culture, history, and heartfelt blessings. Each piece we create is made with this spirit, hoping to share our goodwill with people everywhere.

Our Philosophy: Jewelry That Carries Blessings

Inspired by Taoist culture and other Chinese traditions that honor harmony, balance, and nature, we design jewelry with meaning. Our bracelets, especially the Taoist style, are meant to be personal companions—carrying wishes for good fortune, health, and peace. We also work with materials like Tibetan blood vine, a medicinal herb known for its resilience and natural strength, to symbolize endurance and connection to the earth. Through our creations, we hope to pass on timeless wisdom and positive energy.

Our Journey: Thirteen Years of Handmade Commitment

Our story started over a decade ago at a simple workbench, driven by a love for traditional craftsmanship and a desire to create with purpose. We have grown slowly and steadily—focusing not on speed, but on learning, improving, and staying true to our promise: to make honest, handcrafted jewelry with care. Each year has deepened our understanding of materials, design, and the quiet satisfaction of creating something meant to last.

Choosing Materials: Selecting Nature's Gifts
A very important part of our process happens before any tools are picked up—it's choosing the right materials. We search for woods and elements that are beautiful and full of meaning. We use Lightning-Struck Wood, which is special and believed to hold protective energy. We select Purple Sandalwood, cherished for its fine grain and calming presence. We also work with humble bamboo and vibrant red thread, each chosen for what it represents—growth, fortune, and connection. Every material tells its own story, and we listen carefully.

Our Commitment: Every Step by Hand, True to Our Promise
The soul of our workshop is in our handmade process. From the moment we prepare the raw wood to the final polish of a finished bracelet, we do everything by hand. We cut, we sand, we carve small symbols, and we assemble each piece ourselves. We don't use machines to replace the careful attention of our hands. This way of working is slower, but it means every Taoist bracelet or blood vine bracelet is unique. It has slight, gentle imperfections that show it was made by a person, not a factory. This is our choice and our pride.

Staying True to Our Path
As we look to the future, our path is clear. We will continue to make jewelry slowly, by hand, with the same respect for tradition and the same wish to bring a little bit of blessing into everyday life. This is not just our method; it is our promise—to our craft, to our culture, and to everyone who chooses to wear a piece of our story. We believe in the power of things made with patience and heart, and we invite you to feel that difference.
